Module 5 provides an orientation to information presented in the GAIN Recommendation and Referral Summary (GRRS). This module discusses how to support diagnostic impressions and treatment planning recommendations using the GAIN assessment in conjunction with DSM-IV-TR and ASAM Patient Placement Criteria. This module also examines strategies for efficiently and effectively editing the GRRS report and emphasizes the importance of individualizing the report for each client.
