Module 4 presents the foundation for clinically interpreting the Global Appraisal of Individual Needs - Initial (GAIN-I) assessment. This module describes how the GAIN helps to support a clinician in determining diagnoses and developing effective treatment plans. Additionally, this module emphasizes the role of clinical judgment in supporting diagnostic impressions and developing treatment recommendations and maintaining or enhancing the validity of report through culturally responsive interpretation.
